I started my bookkeeping journey by studying Accounting at Fordham University. After college, I became an office manager for a small business. Like most small businesses, the office managers assist the owners and wear many hats: order fulfillment, HR, procurement, phones, etc… but my favorite was the bookkeeping side of the business.
I began with the big ledger, pen to paper.
It was scary making the move to QB, but it was necessary!
Even more challenging was moving the system to Quickbooks Online. I was up for the challenge because I grew to love bookkeeping and organizing and having a workflow that saved time. I grew more obsessed over time with learning the ins and outs of Quickbooks. I use Quickbooks for my Etsy shop as well and I can relate to how confusing it is for creatives and online shops to manage their finances.
Once I was comfortable, I helped everyone I knew how to set up and handle their bookkeeping using QBO.
Owning a local bookkeeping business with happy clients has made me want to reach out to more frustrated QBO users to prove QBO can work for you and with you with the proper usage and training.
I know from experience that there’s a lot of confusing information out there, sketchy 3rd party apps and endless tips & tricks…
